HaloSource, the drinking water purification business, said it’s opened an office and manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China.
The Seattle company announced in July that it raised $11.5 million from new and existing investors. Those funds, HaloSource officials said in a statement, “will further support the company’s development in China where HaloSource has established partnership arrangements with Chanitex, a leading Chinese water treatment company.”
The Chinese branch will be headed by Joseph Chen, who previously worked in HaloSource’s Seattle headquarters.
